FTC60B is a taller version of the popular FTC60 for newer/taller pickup beds. Optimized for Ford and Chevy short bed trucks; flush with bed rails. Clears most gooseneck and fifth wheel hitches. Fuel tank made of .125 marine grade aluminum with two internal baffles. 90-degree flange reinforced seams for stronger welds. Toolbox and lid constructed of .100 marine-grade aluminum with stiffener. Stainless steel latch/lock assemblies and full-length hinge included. Neoprene-lined rain channel on lid ensures weather-tight seal. Toolbox bottom separated from fuel tank top for structural integrity. DOT & EPA compliant in all 50 states for diesel use. All mounting hardware is included.
Warning: Proper Use of Auxiliary Tanks
To ensure safety and optimal performance, do not fill your auxiliary tank to 100% capacity. Auxiliary Tanks require sufficient headspace to allow for fuel expansion and vapor buildup. Overfilling the tank can lead to:
- Fuel Leaks: Excess fuel may escape through vents or seals, posing safety and environmental risks.
- Increased Pressure: Without adequate space for vapor, pressure buildup can damage the tank or connected systems.
- Compliance Issues: Overfilled tanks may violate local or federal regulations for fuel transport.
Safe Filling Recommendations
- Fill the tank to 90% of its capacity to allow room for fuel expansion.
- Use proper venting systems and check all connections for leaks before transport.
- Follow all local, state, and federal guidelines for the storage and transport of fuel.
By adhering to these precautions, you can ensure the safe and reliable use of your transfer tank while protecting your vehicle, environment, and compliance with regulations.
If you have any questions about proper usage or tank specifications, please contact our customer service team for assistance."
